Wieland Vogel (1980), born in Heusden and currently living and working in The Netherlands, graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven, department ‘Man and Living’ in 2007.
With his 'Renovation objects/projects' Wieland feels the urge to show the world that an object in weathered form has more character and exposes a richer history than an object that’s still untainted. He highlights the beauty of weathering by enclosing his objects in very intricate miniature scaffolding constructions; this work method, which results in architectonic structures and an elevation of the object, creates a fascinating play between silhouette, proportion, and meaning. Wielands storytelling arts and designs are honest, refined and show the beauty of construction. His work answers to an inner necessity to give birth to objects with character.
