Soft! Textile Art in Muiderslot: Group Exhibition at Muiderslot Castle
This winter, textiles return to the historic halls of Muiderslot. On January 16th 2026, the castle opens Soft! — a group exhibition created in collaboration with Rademakers Gallery and dedicated to the richness, versatility, and contemporary power of textile art.
For centuries, fabrics shaped the atmosphere of Muiderslot: tapestries that told stories, curtains that offered warmth, and woven surfaces that signaled prestige. Soft! brings this tradition into the present. Featuring works by emerging and established makers, the exhibition explores where textile art stands today — how new talents experiment with form, how innovative techniques expand what cloth can be, and how history continues to inform the future of the medium.
Featuring works by Sofie Aaldering, Mina Abouzahra, Sina Dyks, Kiki van Eijk, Kelly Konings, Alfhild Kulper and Simone Post, the exhibition spans textile art, sculptural approaches, and contemporary interpretations of craft.
Follow us to see the full collection of Soft! at Herengracht 1, 1398 AA Muiden, The Netherlands.
The Exhibition is curated by Pien Rademakers for Muiderslot.
