Roots of Creation: Kiki van Eijk - Solo Exhibition

9 January - 3 April 2027
Overzicht

Roots of Creation reveals where Kiki van Eijk’s creative roots lie. At the heart of her practice is imagination - the ability to envision new worlds and possibilities. Equally important is intuition: following instinct throughout the creative process and allowing herself to be guided by everything she sees, feels and experiences around her.

In a world that is constantly changing, Kiki responds from a deeply personal perspective. She transforms emotions, observations and dreams into new work, sometimes more autonomous, sometimes more functional, always expressed through her distinctive poetic language.

Creating a home is a recurring thread throughout her work. Not only as a physical place, but as a feeling of warmth, comfort and belonging. Her work invites us to slow down, reconnect, and rediscover the playful child within us.

Known for her remarkable versatility, Kiki moves effortlessly between disciplines, creating sculptures, furniture, textiles, ceramics and installations. Material experimentation lies at the heart of her practice. Glass, ceramics and textiles are among her favourite materials, valued for their sensitivity, tactility and expressive qualities. Every project becomes a dialogue between intuition, craftsmanship and the joy of making, where playfulness is an essential part of the creative process.

Ultimately, her work imagines how the world could be different - greener, gentler and more connected. She translates these reflections into abstract works that invite wonder rather than explanation, leaving space for personal interpretation and discovery.

The exhibition brings together sculptures, textile works, ceramic tableaux and new spatial explorations that together form an ever-expanding creative language. We warmly invite you to discover this new body of work with open eyes and an open mind, and perhaps leave inspired to look at the world just a little differently.

On January 9th, 2027, Rademakers Gallery and Kiki van Eijk will host a festive opening of the exhibition. The solo will be officially opened by Evelien Reich, Editor-in-Chief of MANERA magazine.
