CAN Art Ibiza 2026
Rademakers Gallery is pleased to participate in CAN Art Ibiza for the first time in 2026, marking an exciting new chapter in our international program. Set against the unique cultural landscape of Ibiza, the fair reflects the island’s long-standing legacy as a meeting point for artistic exchange, where historical influences and contemporary creativity converge.
CAN Art Ibiza distinguishes itself through its vibrant, forward-thinking curatorial vision, bringing together leading international galleries and a dynamic selection of artists who engage with the evolving language of contemporary figurative practices. More than a conventional art fair, it is conceived as a gathering—an environment shaped by openness, experimentation, and dialogue, echoing the island’s spirit of freedom and innovation.
Within this context, Rademakers Gallery presents a curated selection that reflects its interdisciplinary and experimental approach, featuring works by Anne von Freyburg, Jessi Strixner, Joana Schneider, and Onno Adriaanse.
Anne von Freyburg’s textile-based works challenge the boundaries between fine art and craft, reinterpreting Rococo aesthetics through a contemporary lens. By layering fabrics onto painted surfaces, she examines themes of femininity, beauty, and material culture, questioning how identity is constructed in today’s image-driven society.
Jessi Strixner presents hyper-realistic wooden sculptures that transform everyday garments into objects of wonder. Through meticulous craftsmanship, she plays with perception and materiality, creating a striking tension between the softness of textile forms and the solidity of wood. Onno Adriaanse contributes sculptural design objects that bridge art and functionality. Rooted in a material-driven process, his work draws inspiration from natural growth patterns and geological formations, resulting in immersive pieces that reconnect the viewer with tactility and the rhythms of the natural world.
Together, these artists embody a shared interest in material exploration and the redefinition of traditional disciplines, resonating strongly with CAN’s focus on the “now” in contemporary art. Positioned within a broader dialogue that spans historical movements and current practices, the presentation reflects both continuity and innovation within today’s artistic landscape.
