Technique: For the Femme Chair seating just a single rope is used. The knotting technique is adapted from the maritime world. Rik ten Velden was inspired by his visits to the Maritime Museum in Rotterdam. There he received a crash course in knotting techniques used on ships from two senior craftsmen. This time taking knotting technique is used to create a unique and durable piece that adapts to any interior.
