Rive Roshan

Rive Roshan is the artistic practice of Ruben de la Rive Box (Netherlands) and Golnar Roshan (Australia). Based in Amsterdam, the duo create artwork, sculptural objects and immersive installations that endeavour to shift perspectives and capture transience. 

Through exploring the interplay of light, colour, space and material, Rive Roshan aims to create sensorial experiences and invoke curiosity. “We feel our role as artists and designers is to offer people new and inspiring narratives in order to look at the world with fresh eyes. On some occasions, that is simply about injecting beautiful moments into the everyday; in others, it’s about using art as a tool to advocate for society, environmental awareness, and human rights.”

Rive Roshan has exhibited widely, including NGV Triennial, Melbourne, Australia; Powerhouse Museum, Sydney, Australia; Les Musée des Arts Decoratifs, Paris, France; Paris Art Week, France; Shanghai Museum of Glass, China; Milan Design Week, Italy, Berlin Art Week, Germany; Dutch Design Week, Netherlands and Design Miami, USA.

Education

• Ruben de la Rive Box studied Interaction Design at HKU University of the Arts Utrecht.
• Golnar Roshan earned degrees in Visual Communication and Design from the University of Technology, Sydney.
