Rademakers Gallery is delighted to present a new collection for PAN Amsterdam this November, inspired by the landscapes, traditions and material heritage of the Netherlands.
From the shifting sands of the dunes to open fields, expansive skies and the ever-changing sea, the Dutch landscape has long shaped a distinct sense of place and identity. In this presentation, we explore these connections through the work of artists and designers who reinterpret Dutch heritage through contemporary materials, craftsmanship and a renewed relationship with the natural world.
Through the textile works of Joana Schneider and Simone Post, sustainable materials and innovative making meet the textures, colours and rhythms of the landscape. Alongside the work of Hendrik & Paula Kerstens, whose practice engages with Dutch cultural heritage and identity, the presentation brings together different perspectives on what it means to be rooted in a place.
With this new collection we invite visitors to rediscover the Netherlands through its landscapes, materials and traditions: a celebration of heritage not as something fixed in the past, but as something living, evolving and continually reimagined.
