Pien Post
Pien Post (1996), born in Zaandijk and currently living and working in The Netherlands, is a newly graduate from the Interior and Furniture Design department at the Royal Academy in The Hague.
Pien’s work plays with the construction of realities through the use of narrative, signs and symbols. Her collection “OBJACT” is a reaction to the common ground of Dutch culture. By altering Dutch domestic symbols according to Dutch idioms, she builds a new language that is embedded in the fabric of the old one. In this way she tries to estrange you from the comfort of the familiar.
