Eka Acosta
Eka Acosta
Eka Acosta (1970), born in Paris, raised in Buenos Aires, and currently living and working in Zweden, commenced his career in design and interior design in Argentina and Paraguay.
After a while he decided to travel to Europe, to focus on art and studies. He ended up settling in Sweden, where his passion for sculpture made him develop his unconventional technique; forming and shaping wire metal net. His attention to subtle details, his patience, skillfulness and varied experience in forming animals in metal net are some of the secrets to his success. He has a talent to catch the natural movement of the animals he shapes. The elegance, charm and character of each individual, sculpted in real life size, is enhanced by the transparency of the material.
